The Robot Rebellion P6

I ordered the soldiers to destroy the lifts and hold the floors at all costs, with a handful following me.

We went up the fire stairwell. We could hear fighting coming from behind most of the emergency doors we passed. We heard people screeching and robots crushing tables or chairs.

It took us a good six or seven minutes to reach the top. By then, droids were chasing us.

When we reached the top, I was relieved that the plane was already set to go.

We ran onto the plane under cover fire, and I told the pilot to head to Grand Garcia. A destination I had decided on while running. It was adjacent to the only large expanse of forest on the planet. A small airport; I was convinced that any robots would be switched off, as it was out of season.

It was a strange journey. No communications from anybody or anything. A dead silence. There could only be one reason: there was nobody left to communicate with.

At that time, we still had no idea if our plan had worked. Upon reaching our destination, we retreated into the wilderness, living like primitives. Food was scarce till we figured a few things out.

To be continued.
